The History Channel is teaming up with psychic John Holland to produce what they hope to be a unique and extraordinary series. John's psychic abilities will be put to the test as he tries to solve some of the world's most confounding mysteries.
In the premiere episode, Holland will attempt to answer some lingering questions about Waco: Who fired the first shot? Were Koresh's followers being held against their will? Also, Holland apparently breaks some news that was never released to the public.
While I will definitely tune in to watch this, I can't get over the fact that no matter what Holland offers up for an answer, can it actually be verified? How can he truly answer who fired the first shot and prove it? Sounds like he can't go wrong in my opinion. But I will reserve judgement until after I see it.
I always have issues with "psychics" that always appear to be cashing in… not that I blame them :)

Most ‘psychics’, in my opinion, are scam artists. Even if SOME psychics are legitimate, many more are fakes. So yes, it is different from a doctor making a living because it is through deceitful means. There is, of course, the reasoning that he’s doing this for entertainment, but I’m sure that’s not what he is claiming.

If their are real psychics, then yes, of course they should be permitted to profit based on their abilities. My point was that true psychics are rare (or non-existent) so we should be very suspicious of those who claim they are psychic and then ask for money.

“Psychics” like this are just really good at reading human non-vocal facial and body clues and asking the right generic questions in the right sequence to lead the subject to an answer. Then “voila! I know something about you you didn’t explicitly tell me.”
I watched that John Edwards show awhile back, which is probably the #1 proof of this tactic. They ARE very good at what they do, but it sure as hell isn’t psychic ability.

I like your point of view sidfaiwu. You are still open minded to the possibility of a true “psychic”. What we have to realize is the ability for an individual to see past the normalsy of what this planet considers it. This will make your unconscious more conscious of the true reality that you have been constructing from the first memory of your life. This is usually the point where you are taught a system that will be followed by how you construct your life and the ideology that is placed upon you by your family that may have been influenced by the government. This leads to an understanding of why the world is in its state of destruction, or in an oppurtunity of a new peaceful transition. To come to this conlusion, you must follow the signs of who is responsible for the imoral balance of peoples lives. You must understand that if they say they love life, and try to find a way to kill life, than there is an issue that effects all of us. You might not even know you are being influenced in this manner to where your brain (that constructs the reality system) gives you the reality that has made it nessesary to kill life which will give us the belief that it is our only defense against the cruilty from each other. What we continue to see in history is the constant repatition of the down fall of a society. It is rare if you do not look in the right places of this vast informative era. Once you understand the big picture, than you are more likely to connect with the smaller ones that have been shown to a “psychic”. Individuals that claim to be “psychic” are merely people that are hyper sensitive to there enviornment, and can travel to an area inside there brains, or there “mind”s that enables us to notice the obvious, of which you still have not formulated the mind set to do so yourself. In order to become more concious, you must be true to yourself of what is moral and what is dishonest. You must question your daily actions and what type of person you made yourself. Once you understand, than we can move on to the next level of your consciousness that has been influenced by your unconsciousness. You must also detach yourself from the mainstream “psychic” to look for eviedence that it can occur to all of us and there are the only ones cashing in on these “psychic” claims. Personally, I judge these people that claim they are psychic and make money off of it. That shows bad leadership and damages the purpose of the psychic activity movement. What psychic activated individuals truely want is peace in the world. A time that there is no destruction of ones soul or there moral reality. We must question our own reality to realize others. I question myself everyday.
