How much do you know about the supernatural. Are you ignorant towards it or do you have stone cold facts that prove non-existent? I went to a spiritual consultant.

I have felt for a long time the need to see someone like this after foolishly experimenting with a Ouija board at the turn of X-mas 2005. Like most people who do not heed the warnings everything seemed to be ticking along quite nicely with the sessions on the board, family started to come through, family that had been passed now for at least a decade and beyond. I was not alone here, I was with friends and family who all had someone from their past come through to contact them via the board. It was unreal how specific the information was regarding everything from favorite colour’s to nick names they called us when alive individually that I had struggled to remember until it finally hit me, amazing!

As time went on though things began to change, expletives were coming through on the board, and instructions to do the most bizarre sordid things. It was obvious to me that this was not family at all… So I decided to go and see a spiritual consultant one day, on the 11th February 07′ on the off chance.

I entered a big establishment that was first and foremost a bowling alley with bars and restaurants. To my right there was a doorway into a kind of Function Room. At the doorway were two young people at a desk and I asked them if there was an admission fee. “1 pound” the young man said so I paid my dues and cavorted into this room to which I had never visited before. Stalls were set around it like a mini market place with strange objects for sale such as crystals for energy and well-being and a “free” stress test machine with the option of buying these audio self-help CD type things. I turned and to my right was a little room, two desks lodged against a wall, one in front and one behind and these were occupied by people reading tarot cards to customers. There was a sign on the wall just before you enter the room stating that a price of 15 pounds would have to be paid. I considered this but thought I would walk round some more until I came to another “stall” where a lady was lying on a dentist chair and a man had his hands on her head with his eyes closed, I assumed this was a healer of some kind but it wasn’t what I was looking for.

Ahead of the proceeding stall was a bizarre looking stall, it just seemed too commercial as I was getting a feel of the theme, and there were TV’S with people’s faces looking happy next to suggestions of karma and good health and that kind of thing, which I thought of as something off Total Recall. People were being read to via cards but I was put off and turned my attention to the stall just back from where I’d come from. It was just a man and his wife. I started off by chatting to the lady; she went on to say how the couple clears houses of evil spirits. Her right eye was a different colour than her left and it turned outward. She claimed to have been pushed down the stairs by an unseen force, breaking her wrist in the process. I told her about my little experience with the Ouija board and she told me that they are bad instruments. She said she could see in my face how much it had been tormenting me, she was right it had been. “You have around 6 or 7 guides around you, their names are Daniel and Allison…I cannot quite get the others.” I could see her husband was busy and she told me to come back in about half an hour to be seen by him so I went out of the room and to a bar for a quick pint. I came back in about 25 minutes and he wasn’t there. The lady was and she told me he had gone looking for me.

He returned and said he had one more person to see before me, he said again about half an hour, so again I walked away, this time I stayed in the room and walked around the stalls, but I was in two minds about seeing him because A. his wife had really spooked me to be honest and B. I remain a skeptic, although it was as if there were two contradictory forces pulling me this way and that, I felt panicky and suddenly unsure. I ended up sitting at a desk near the entrance waiting my turn.

Finally I took my seat at the desk, I was really really anxious, strange feeling indeed. He went on by saying that he had heard about the Ouija board I used from his wife and he would try to figure the issues I was experiencing. I thought I needed to have another question because the exercise consisted of cards and I thought of the Tarot, which this wasn’t, but it was clear I needed a question so I asked him of my career ahead. Turned out I’m never going to work for a firm or company, but there is creative energy inside me that I must channel. He explained that this was the area to which I should look which was nice to hear because I want to do that.

He moved towards the end of the session by pointing my own personal issues and how they would all come good. I was moving out of a certain phase, and that I would be working more with others as I drew the “Ant” card, meaning colony of ants. This was true because, I am a bit of a loner and it was interesting and true to hear. As we moved onto the Ouija board subject, he told me there is a negative energy stopping all this predicted progress as revealed by the cards. Apparently I had channeled with a “demon”. This demon was not a bad person who lost their life; it was something that had never even lived on this planet. He told me how it could change shape and sex, and even turn into an animal or reptile; naturally I was bricking it. I learned how it could be positive or negative, but either way it would test the life out of me through my energies i.e. when I felt good and felt that I would go with a certain feeling or attitude, it was this demon playing with me which was unnerving to say the least as I had been feeling very dramatic incline/decline mood’s that were tiring me out and getting me nowhere fast, “running in circles” was how he put it and that’s how I’d put it as well! From feeling good I would then feel bad and like the whole feeling of feeling good was, not there? Artificial. “How can I get rid of it?” I asked. “Are there any techniques I can practice?” “Lets see if we can do it now shall we?” He said. He had a pendulum, a small crystal on the end of a string that was going in a circular motion. As he closed his eyes he was talking through his visualization of my bedroom and how this demon was residing where my bed is! He described its position and then claimed to see the demon. “I’ve got it…its changing shape.” He began to..say..midly hyper ventilate a little and this went on for about a minute.” it’s gone” he said. I was intrigued and remarked how quickly it took, and how easy it seemed. He laughed a little and quipped on my comment as if to say it wasn’t that easy. I thanked him and his wife said the look on my face had changed from a tired look to a refreshed one, I certainly felt a bolt of energy and relief travel through me while the “exorcism” was taking place. He explained that the reason he was always busy or not at his desk when I approached was because the demon was trying to keep me from him, because it knew that he could help me and get rid of it, creepily I found some truth in this because of how I felt earlier walking around and going to the bar…

Did this experience change your life in any way, if so how?

As of yet no, it’s only been a couple of days, but I feel assured I am now free of this “demon.” I am by no means a big believer in it; I am still skeptical after everything I’ve done with boards. Even though I didn’t see any apparitions, or as yet I haven’t seen any, the feeling and the psychological damage is there and this prompted me to go to a spiritual consultant when I saw it advertised. But I will say to absolutely ANYONE, no matter how you feel about yourself, however indestructible, Ouija is a bad idea; I’m still worried now.
