Upon hanging up, my sister and I thought it was pretty neat because the psychic's knowledge of my weird relationship was fairly good. Of course only the future would tell if the other predictions were correct, but this lead to a general discussion on psychics and other paranormal stuff like Ouija boards. You can read about my Ouija board experiences here.
A week later I returned to Camp Lejeune and thought about the reading a lot because summer would be over in a few months and September was quickly approaching. A month after I returned there was some unrest in Haiti. My unit was put on alert and told to standby for possible orders to deploy by ship in September. I honestly can say that I had a serious case of the heebie-jeebies. Not only was I excited to go to Haiti, but the psychic was starting to prove correct. A few months passed and alas I was still in Camp Lejeune and our trip to Haiti was cancelled. I was somewhat disappointed, but I wondered what would happen in March if anything. A month later, I received orders to transfer to the 24th Marines Expeditionary Unit (MEU). Our orders were to deploy on aboard the USS Kearsarge in March of 1995 for a period of 6 months to the Mediterranean Sea as part of a standard deployment. I left in March and stayed aboard for six months as predicted.
Upon my return in September of 1995, I decided to contact my old girlfriend as the desire grew very strong. I was nervous that she might still be married and even have kids for that matter. I finally reached her and much to my surprise she was single and thinking of me as well. She literally hopped in her car and drove 16 hours to visit me. Needless to say we kicked our relationship in to high gear.
A year later, I left the Marines to pursue a degree in computer science back home. We dated up till that point and planned on continuing our relationship. The day I arrived back in town, I moved in with her. It was August and I was getting ready for the fall semester. While watching TV one afternoon, I saw another ad for a psychic hotline. I couldn't resist and decided to make a quick call. She said there was nothing of any significance for the next few years and offered up one prediction. She said that come November, I would be in a courtroom. I pressed her for more details. I was worried that I would be in trouble or something worse. She said I wasn't in trouble, but she couldn't quite put her finger on it. She just said that it would pass in a week and it was no biggie. A month later, I received a letter in the mail from the city requesting my presence for jury duty. I had to report in November. The trial lasted a week.
While some may dismiss these predictions as too general or lucky, I beg to differ. I don't know anyone whose life would accommodate these predictions. They could have given those readings to a million people and it wouldn't even come close to ringing true. For me, it was a real eye opening experience. It left me with a firm belief that we as a people don't fully comprehend how life and all the elements in the universe interact. I firmly believe that people like psychics have special abilities and are tied in the something greater.
I'm happy to say that many years after these predictions; my girlfriend and I have since gotten married and have two children. Neither of us has gone to a psychic since as we have fallen victim to work and family matters. However, I am looking for another psychic reading and will jump on it when the feeling is right. If you have the urge, just do it!
Thanks,
